The 70th Governor of Ohio, Richard Michael DeWine, signed a bill into law on Tuesday, July 31st, 2019. This bill decriminalizes hemp and CBD (cannabidiol) products for the state. What an enormous move for Ohio. We expect there is going to be some economic booms seen from the state after this one.
Senate Bill 57 has made multiple amendments on the current state of hemp and cannabis derivatives in Ohio. Farmers and researchers are now able to grow these products and the sale of said products is now also legalized. Cultivation of these crop however does have...

Coca-Cola and CBD?
According to a report from BNN Bloomberg Television, Coca-Cola has stated that it's monitoring the Cannabinoid (CBD) market - contemplating whether it wants to throw its cap into the ring to create a drink infused with Coca-Cola and CBD.
Currently, the Atlanta-based soft drinks maker is said to be in talks with Aurora Cannabis (a Canadian marijuana producer) to develop the beverages. However, as there are many other CBD infused drinks on the market, Coca-Cola is aiming to create a CBD wellness drink that will help ease inflammation, pain, and cramping. Rather than making its focus on giving consumers...

Pennsylvania farmers are increasing the acreage they're devoting to industrial hemp, while two more states draw closer to allowing it.
In Pennsylvania, farmers plan to grow up to 1,000 acres of hemp, about 30 times as much as they did in 2017, according to state agriculture secretary Russell Redding. According to Lancaster Farming:
Redding announced the Department of Agriculture approved 39 industrial hemp research applications on Feb. 15. If all applicants complete the permitting process, nearly 1,000 acres of hemp will be growing this spring. Last year, 14 growers produced a total of 36 acres statewide. About one third of those...
We've gotten used to products infused with CBD Oil. The rest of the world is catching up as companies experiment with such infusions for coffee and other treats.
That's definitely happening in Burlington, Vermont, the Burlington Free Press reports:
Already awash with options, Java-swillers and tea-lovers in Burlington are increasingly topping up their cups with CBD, or cannabidiol, purveyors say.
The fuel additive is a legal, no-high hemp derivative that typically raises a café tab by about $2.50.
Enthusiasts have voted with their wallets, said Dan Smith of Cosmic Grind on Church Street: “CBD sells itself.”
Stirred, foamed, dolloped or steeped, CDB transforms the buzz of...

We've known CBD oil and other hemp products were beneficial for a while. Now the mainstream press is catching up.
The New York Times had a report recently that CBD products are all the rage these days in celebrity and beauty circles. According to the Times:
There are already devout fans, some boldfaced, who are drawn to CBD topical products largely for their pain-relieving properties. Olivia Wilde recently told this reporter that she used it to relieve physical aches during a Broadway run. The fashion stylist Karla Welch, who works with Ms. Wilde, Ruth Negga, Katy Perry and Sarah Paulson, uses Lord Jones...
