If you haven’t yet resolved to include hemp oil in your routine, 2018’s a great time to do so.
The extract from industrial hemp plants won’t get you high. Instead, it comes with numerous benefits that make it a worthy addition to your life. But if you need convincing, here are a couple of our favorites.
Hemp oil is chock full of nutrients that can help build a healthier you for 2018.
“Getting enough essential fatty acids is necessary to prevent brain and nervous degeneration over time,” according to the Herb website. “To keep myelin functioning properly, you need dietary essential fatty acids. Hemp is a great source of these essential fatty acids, acting as a dietary supplement for these brain-boosting lipids.”
The website reports that those same fatty acids help promote heart health. “The same linolic acid that makes hemp oil so great for the skin can also lower bad cholesterol and prevent saturated fat buildup in the arteries,” according to Herb.
Hemp oil is also high in protein and minerals.
Potential to help with some health conditions
CBD Oil extracted from hemp could help people cope with some health conditions.
Cannabis has been used to treat seizures for hundreds of years. Modern studies at least tentatively point to CBD’s effectiveness.
“Ancient Chinese and Persian medical texts — and modern anecdotes — suggest that cannabis is useful for treating seizures,” according to the Verge. “Research has been scant, but a new study of cannabidiol, a molecule in cannabis, has given some credence to these claims. Kids with a severe form of epilepsy had 39 percent fewer seizures per month after taking the substance, also called CBD. Three people stopped having seizures altogether.”
While CBD might be able to help treat seizures, the Omega 3 in hemp oil helps people deal with mood disorders such as Bipolar Disorder and Depression. And hemp oil can be used to reduce inflammation.
These benefits and others make the case for including hemp oil in your New Year, new you regimen.
